Brainerd Antique Shopping -
Collectibles - Furniture & Glassware |
If antique collecting is your hobby the Brainerd
Lakes Area is going to be your favorite place. If you live within 50
miles of Brainerd you already know the best shops and special stores
where if your lucky you'll find that hidden treasure. We have many
resort guests that like to make antique shopping a part of their
vacation plans.
You can hunt for days with over 50 antique shops in the Brainerd,
Nisswa, Crosslake and Crosby areas. Lost Lake Lodge is just six
miles from Nisswa so why not start there? Besides quaint antique
shops you'll find some of the best shopping in the state of
Minnesota. The town of Nisswa itself is much the same as it was 20
years ago. The corner Cafe still servers a delightful burger and a
chocolate malt served in an old fashioned malt glass. You can find
antique glass, primitives, furniture as well as fun pieces for your
cabin or lake home.
Now you can either choose to head north towards Pequot Lakes, Pine
River, Hackensack and Walker where you'll find collectibles of every
kind. If you go a bit past Walker you'll even find a winery.
If you decide to head south instead you'll find yourself in
Brainerd. There are several lovely shops in downtown Brainerd
including a diverse antique store on Laurel street with a variety of
furniture, antiques and collectibles. From Brainerd you can head to
Crosby where main street is lined with Antique shops that have been
in business for many years. To those who live in the area Crosby is
considered the "Antique Capital of the Lakes Area". Silks, linens,
pottery, lighting, Fiestaware, and every quality antique you can
think of. These stores have a reputation for fairness so bring your
checkbook (Visa) and be ready to haul or ship your treasures.
If you have the energy to continue, you can find more shops in Aitkin,
Pillager, Crosslake, Emily and Fifty Lakes!
When you've finally had enough make your way back to Lost Lake Lodge
for an evening of fine dining and refreshments. Relax while the sun
sets over Roy Lake and the Loons find their way back to their nests. |
