Our kids program is a complimentary supervised
children’s program for ages 3-9 and 10-14 and runs 5 days a week (not
on Sunday and Monday ). The program offers a variety of activities planned to
delight children, while allowing their parents time for themselves.
The program runs from 9a.m. to 12 noon and from 1:30 until 3p.m.
We have campfire music one night a week and a pizza/movie night one
night during the week. Children and parents have the utmost
flexibility with the program, participating in only the activities
they choose.
Activities include both outdoor and indoor games and projects, as well
as field trips around Lost Lake or hiking through the woods, maybe a
canoe trip or fishing off the dock. Children enjoy programs such as
creating animal masks, macaroni art, face painting plus beach
activities like swimming, and sandcastle building. Kidding around
activities can also include bottle art, macramé, friendship bracelets
and various other art and craft projects. We also have an ice cream
social one day a week.
A typical day for you might start at 8:30a.m. strolling around the
dining room visiting with our guest about the kids activities that
day. The program starts at 9:30a.m. sharp with everyone involved
gathering on the patio outside the lodge. The morning program ends
at noon and you may have an hour and a half off then move into the
afternoon program.
We guarantee two full days off each week. You will, on some days work
8 hours and on some days 4. you need to be flexible.
It is important to realize that everything we do is driven by the
needs of our guests. It is paramount for us that the children’s
vacation experience be as valuable as the adults experience. You need
enthusiasm, creativity and a love of children for this job.
